Wayne Perry had over 40 years’ experience in all aspects of the compressed air business. He was a DOE Qualified AIRMaster+ Specialist, a Certified Instructor for Compressed Air Challenge (CAC) and provided extensive technical review of CAC and U.S. Department of Energy (USDOE) publications on compressed air system efficiency. He worked as a Compressed Air Expert for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. Published both nationally and internationally, he served on the Editorial Advisory Board of Compressed Air Best Practices Magazine.
Mr. Perry served as Kaeser Compressor’s representative to Compressed Air and Gas Institute (CAGI), where he was the Chairman of the System Assessment Section and served on the Rotary Positive Engineering Committee, the Standards Committee and the Energy Efficiency Committee. In addition, he was actively involved in the formation of and served as CAGI’s representative on the Board of Directors for the CAC. He served on the Consensus Board of the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Energy and Environmental Center, adding review and comment during the development of ANSI/MSE 2000-2005, the United States national energy management standard. He was also one of the U.S. representatives to ISO TC118 that developed ISO 11011, the international standard for compressed air system assessments.
As Kaeser’s Senior Technical Director, he strengthened Kaeser’s systems approach by developing and implementing a system-based technical training program for company representatives. Mr. Perry also worked with Kaeser Compressors and the U.S. DOE to develop and implement Kaeser’s U.S. DOE Allied Partner agreement. As an Allied Partner, he served on the U.S. DOE’s Best Practices Advisory Committee to help shape future program initiatives.
