Compressed air aftercoolers

Air-cooled and water-cooled aftercoolers

Aftercoolers cool air immediately after it is discharged from the compressor to condense water vapor out of the compressed air.

While all Kaeser rotary screw compressors feature a built-in aftercooler, we offer a complete line of stand-alone air-cooled and water-cooled aftercoolers to complement other compressors and provide additional moisture separation in critical applications.

Product details

Air-cooled Aftercoolers

Capacities: from 19 to 4,800 scfm
Pressures: up to 250 psig

air-cooled aftercooler

Highly efficient air-cooled aftercoolers from Kaeser are an economical way to remove water vapor and cool compressed air to safe, usable levels for many applications. They also prepare the air for further filtration and drying.

Compressed air is cooled to within 5°F to 20°F of the ambient temperature, and as the air cools, up to 80% of the water vapor condenses to a liquid.

Water-cooled Aftercoolers

Capacities: up to 3170 scfm
Pressures: to 250 psig

water-cooled aftercooler

Kaeser's water-cooled aftercoolers provide an efficient, economical way to remove water vapor and to cool compressed air to safe, usable levels. They also prepare the air for further filtration and drying.

These aftercoolers are single pass, counter flow shell-and-tube heat exchangers that cool air to within 15°F of the cooling water temperature. As the air cools, up to 80% of the water vapor present condenses to a liquid.
