Operation

Warm compressed air, saturated with water, (1) enters the dryer and is initially cooled in the upper part of the heat exchanger (2) by the cold air leaving the dryer. The air is cooled further to the required dew point in the lower part of the heat exchanger (3) by the refrigeration system (4). Condensate formed by the cooling action is removed from the air by the highly effective filtered separator(5). The condensate is removed from the separator by the "no-loss" electronic condensate drain.  The cold, dry air passes through the optional cold coalescing oil removal filter.  The resulting dry, oil-free air enters the air-to-air heat exchanger (6) and is reheated before exiting the dryer.
