For over 30 years, the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association (WMIA) has worked to advance technology in the North American wood products industry. As one of WMIA’s newest members, Kaeser Compressors, Inc. is proud to join over 170 member companies in providing American woodworkers with the service, tools, knowledge and solutions to compete worldwide. Kaeser has always been strong advocate for educating end-users about the benefits of properly designed and efficient compressed air systems, and welcomes the opportunity to work with the WMIA Education Committee to broaden the scope of the Association's efforts in woodworking education. Like other member companies, Kaeser will provide seminars and intensive training, and support technical schools and universities in their effort to provide skilled workers for the woodworking industry. Advancing new technology is one of WMIA’s top priorities in its work force development program. Three years ago WMIA began its Scholarship Foundation and founded the Wood Industry Educational Forum, and it has awarded more than $25,000 in scholarships to date. Anyone planning to enroll in a wood science or wood technology program at an accredited two-year or four-year technical school, college or university in North America is eligible to apply.
