Kaeser Compressors, Inc. has made a long-term commitment to historical preservation and community education with a substantial pledge to the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center. By committing $50,000 over the next ten years, Kaeser continues its tradition of partnership and service to the Fredericksburg area. “It is not so much about preserving artifacts, as it is remembering what we have lived and achieved as a city and a community,” commented Mr. Mueller. “Remembering our history and those who came before us is very important – and as a family owned company we are especially engaged in this.” Kaeser’s pledge supports two prestigious grants received towards a planned renovation of the recently acquired historic bank just across the street. As a condition of Kresge Foundation Challenge Grant and National Endowment for the Humanities Matching Grant, the museum seeks partnerships and matching funds from both citizens and corporations in the region. “We are always pleased when a company such as Kaeser Compressors becomes excited about a project that impacts the entire community,” commented Edwin W. Watson, President and CEO of the Museum. “It is truly thanks to the generosity of our area businesses and individuals that we are able to continue to preserve the rich heritage of our community.” |
