Two NASCAR championships - One complete compressed air system

Nobody knows a winner better than Joe Gibbs. That’s why Joe Gibbs Racing chose a complete Kaeser compressed air system for its state-of-the-art racing facility in Huntersville, NC. 

The first Kaeser system was installed in the Nextel Cup shop. The set-up includes two 30 hp rotary screw compressors, a refrigerated dryer and our Kaeser Flow Controller (KFC) along with filtration, drains, condensate mangement and storage receivers. 

"My mechanics love it!" proclaimed Gibbs only a few months after installation.  Not only did this system provide all the clean, dry air necessary for the engine buidling shop and the paint and body work, there was enough capacity to run a separate line, add a booster compressor and use the system for the "practice pit." Shortly afterwards, Joe Gibbs Racing won the first of their two Winston Cup Championships. And we all know that races are won and lost in the pits.

The most recent addition to Joe Gibbs Racing is the nearby Busch Shop. This new facility features Kaeser's next generation AS 25T complete package systems with integrated refrigerated dyers and tank mounting. This new air system was specifically designed to provide exceptionally quiet operation but with reduced space requirements and industry-leading energy efficiency. "They're sweet!" remarked Steve McMillan, Facility Manager of Joe Gibbs Racing. "Kaeser was the natural choice for us based on the outstanding reliability and performance we experienced in the Cup Shop."

A new 100,000 sq. ft expansion of Joe Gibbs Racing's original facility is now complete - and Kaeser keeps the entire complex running smoothly with latest air system technology. So watch for more appearances in the winner's circle.
